Abbott has been named a Working Mother Magazine Top 100 company for the 18th year.

After hitting hall-of-fame status in 2016, Abbott has continued its efforts in evaluating employees' greatest needs in markets around the world where we have offices. We are proud that working mothers are able to find the flexibility they need to live their fullest lives at work and at home.

Anna Clausen, a global product manager at the company, also received a Working Mother of the Year award – she's an inspiration to us all, as she works to raise three teenage boys (Tristan, 19, Talon, 17, and Shane, 12), earn her MBA and compete in Ironman races.

Anna has benefitted from many Abbott offerings, including Learning and Development programs, through which she obtained her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, tuition reimbursement for her MBA, and a flexible work schedule that offers her the ability to work from home when commitments with her sons’ schedules arise.

She also plays a key role in Abbott’s Asian Leadership and Cultural Network, serving as Marketing Chair and promoting the leadership development, cultural events and outreach opportunities available to members.

Anna shares her passion for fitness by involving her sons in her Ironman training, occasionally racing shorter-distance events with them. Her oldest son, Tristan, developed an interest in endurance running and they completed the Soldier Field 10 Mile Race together this summer.

"I have specific goals to make sure I’m successful in getting everything done," Anna said, "whether it's helping my kids with their homework, getting ready for my Ironman races, or a project due at work. Abbott has given me the flexibility to be my best self as a mom, and as a person."
