"At Abbott, we connect people with their
potential, offering a lifetime of challenging and rewarding career
opportunities. And with global, diverse businesses across the spectrum of
health care, talented young people can look forward to having multiple careers
– all in a single company."
Stephen Fussell
Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Abbott
"I have been at Abbott for two years and
during that time Abbott has offered me a variety of challenging opportunities
through its professional development program. I have had the opportunity to
work in different divisions across Abbott, performing a variety of tasks. I
also was able to work in several different locations, from Abbott's
headquarters in suburban Chicago, to Germany, and Ohio. My program mentor,
assignment manager and I always discussed my core job responsibilities and
goals to ensure that each specific project was challenging and a good learning
experience. My typical day has always entailed a high level of responsibility
and, working in health care, I feel like I'm making an important contribution
to help improve people's lives."

Financial Analyst, Abbott's Professional Development Program

operations, quality, medicine, and human resources. These programs provide
graduates with the opportunity to try different challenging assignments and
develop well-rounded skills before they settle into a long-term career
choice.
