John Lamb was the first patient to receive Abbott’s Absorb Bioresorbable Vascular Scaffold in clinical trials. Absorb is designed to treat a patient’s blocked coronary artery to restore blood flow to the heart and then dissolve after approximately two years. Also featured in this video is John’s wife, Adele.

Absorb is authorized for sale in Europe and is an investigational device in a number of countries around the world, including the United States, Japan, India, Brazil and New Zealand.
