Ryan C. Lakin is the divisional vice president of digital solutions globally for Abbott’s Medical Devices division.

Ryan uses more than 25 years of expertise to lead development and commercialization of life-changing, patient-centric innovations that improve the lives of people living with chronic conditions. His team developed the NeuroSphere™ Virtual Clinic solution that was recognized by TIME Magazine as one of the Best Inventions of 2021.

Ryan is an advisory board member for the Department of Bioengineering at Rice University, the executive leader for Abbott's relationship with Prairie View A&M University in Texas, and executive sponsor with EvoNexus, a San Diego-based incubator. Prior to joining Abbott, he held leadership roles at Becton Dickinson and Zimmer Biomet.

Ryan holds a bachelor of science in bioengineering from Syracuse University and a master of science in biomedical engineering from the University of Kentucky. He completed his executive education at Stanford University and Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.
