Abbott is a world leader in developing and marketing a wide range of nutritional products in the areas of pediatric nutrition (infant and toddler/kid) and adult nutrition (therapeutic and lifestyle), to support the growth, health and wellness of people of all ages. Abbott has some of the most trusted and globally recognized nutrition brands, including Similac infant formulas, Gain growing-up milks for older babies and toddlers, PediaSure nutritional beverages and snacks for children, and Ensure adult nutritionals.

In addition to these well-known consumer brands, we offer medical foods and feeding devices for patients with special dietary needs due to injury, food allergies, or diseases affecting the body's metabolism, such as cancer, respiratory conditions and gastrointestinal impairment. We focus on combining the science of nutrition with state-of-the-art technology and design to offer nutritional products that are easy to use and meet the changing nutritional needs of people at each stage of life.

Our medical foods include a broad range of oral and tube-fed enteral nutrition products, the Glucerna brand of nutrition shakes and bars for people with diabetes, and the Juven brand of nutrition drinks to help build lean body mass in people recovering from medical illness.

Abbott expanded its product portfolio into the area of Lifestyle Nutrition with the acquisition of ZonePerfect Nutrition and EAS in 2003 and 2004, respectively. These acquisitions added a number of unique products, including ZonePerfect bars and snacks; EAS Myoplex sports nutrition shakes, powders and bars; and EAS AdvantEDGE complete nutrition shakes, powders and bars.
