Areas of Expertise: traumatic brain injury, brain health, concussions, mental motivation, diagnostic biomarkers, and diet and brain health.

Dr. Beth McQuiston is a board certified neurologist, registered dietitian and medical director for Abbott’s diagnostics business. She actively participates in the evaluation of a number of neuroscience-related biomarkers to be used in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of disease. Her current areas of focus include research into biomarkers for use in traumatic brain injury, including concussions.

Prior to her work at Abbott, Dr. McQuiston integrated her holistic perspective and nutrition training into the care of many different types of neurology patients. She obtained her medical doctorate degree at Rush University and completed her medical training at the University of Chicago, Rush University Medical Center and Harbor UCLA Medical Center.

A licensed physician, Dr. McQuiston is a member of the TBI Endpoints Development (TED) Initiative, and has served on the executive committee of the Center for Nutrition Learning and Memory for several years.
