Jake Orville

Senior Vice President, Cancer Diagnostics

Jake is Abbott’s Senior Vice President, Cancer Diagnostics. Jake joined Abbott in March 2026 with the close of the Exact Sciences acquisition. He joined Exact Sciences in 2019, rising to become Executive Vice President, and General Manager, Screening, at the company.

 

Prior to joining Exact Sciences, Jake served as General Manager, Cardiometabolic and Endocrinology, at Quest Diagnostics. Jake co-founded Cleveland HeartLab in 2008, and served as its Chief Executive Officer through 2017, when Cleveland HeartLab was acquired by Quest.

 

Earlier in his career, Jake served in leadership and operational roles at NextGen Sciences, and Third Wave Technologies.

 

Jake earned his Bachelor’s at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, and his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

 

Jake also serves as a board member of the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation and is on the board of trustees for Edgewood University.
