Sammy Karam is Abbott’s Senior Vice President, Established Pharmaceuticals, Global Commercial Operations, assumed the role in 2026, having previously served as Abbott’s Senior Vice President, Established Pharmaceuticals, Emerging Markets.
Sammy also has served as Divisional Vice President, Global Marketing and Commercial Execution.
Throughout his time at Abbott, Sammy has worked to ensure access to Abbott’s medicines and brands in the world’s fastest-growing regions, building on our company’s longstanding focus on commercial execution, building our portfolio of sustainable brands, and driving above-market growth.
Prior to joining Abbott in 2014, Sammy served as Vice President Europe for Omega Pharma, now Perrigo.
Sammy earned his Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Marketing and International Business, from the University of Texas at Arlington, and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Minnesota State University.
