Dr. Dave Smith joined Abbott as medical director for the company's structural heart division in 2024. In this role, he supports Europe, Middle East and Africa medical affairs activities for the business.
Prior to joining Abbott, Dr. Smith was a consultant interventional cardiologist at the Morriston Hospital in Swansea, Wales.
He has participated as a primary investigator in numerous cardiovascular trials over the last 20 years, published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented research study data internationally at leading cardiovascular conferences.
