We're teaming up with the Real Madrid Football Club & Real Madrid Foundation for the health of generations to come.
A shared goal. A common adversary. Teammates of the highest caliber, all focused on one singular outcome: Victory over malnutrition through education and sports.
This is our pitch to the world.
As the Real Madrid Football Club's partner for Health Sciences and Nutrition and global partner of the Real Madrid Foundation, Abbott and our Center for Malnutrition Solutions — a collection of our internal and external nutrition experts — are all joining together to reduce malnutrition, promote education and sharing the values of sport in every region of the world over the next decade.
The work begins now with our commitment to partner with Real Madrid Foundation's Social Sports Schools which are supporting at-risk children in their nutritional, educational and health needs.
We know that a brighter, sustainable future starts with good health.
And good health starts with good nutrition of the body and mind.
Our work with Real Madrid helps people live healthier, and our partner knows how to win — now and in the long run.
Over the course of our combined two and a half centuries, Abbott and Real Madrid's storied histories are ones of helping to develop athletes at the very highest levels of competition. From Real Madrid's 23 European championships in soccer and basketball to Abbott’s leadership in the world's major marathons — including assisting Eliud Kipchoge, the first human under 2 hours over 26.2 miles, win his second marathon gold in Tokyo — we know humanity's unquenchable desire to turn dreams into reality.
Abbott and Real Madrid are drawn together by a shared calling to do our part to help lift up at-risk children around the world. When kids are properly nourished from the beginning, they can begin to learn values and skills to conquer life's challenges and seize its opportunities. For us, that mission takes shape through our Future Well Kids program. For Real Madrid, it manifests through its Foundation's emphasis on the values of sport and the role teamwork can play in education beyond the field of play. Because every aspect of life — at work and at home — is improved when we’re better teammates, respect each other and genuinely collaborate.
On first blush, the numbers can stagger. More than 20 million people around the world are touched by Abbott's nutritional products each day, a testament to our long history of innovating the science behind making nutrition accessible. And the Real Madrid Foundation supports 65,000 children per year across 80 countries through education on nutrition, health and sportsmanship. And still, we're inspired to do more. Together, we can.
We're working to reach as many children around the world as we can, from Brazil to China, from India to Israel, from Kenya to the Philippines and, of course, the U.S., Spain ... and more. Many more. Like the Real Madrid Foundation's efforts, our focus has also been on situations little seen by the rest of the world. They're often remote, rural communities in places like Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania where we’re working to bring a better life to those communities. It's work that's woven into the fabric of who we are and how we see what it means to be a good citizen to the world we serve.
