HEART HEALTH STORIES

FAQS

What is Abbott HeartMates?

Abbott Heartmates is a program that celebrates the power of teamwork and the bravery of those chasing their own heart-related comeback stories, as well as the caregivers helping them on their journeys. The program creates a community in which members can share stories, offer support, learn from each other and Abbott heart-health experts, and celebrate wins.

Why join Abbott HeartMates?

In addition to showing your support for heart-health awareness, members of the Abbott HeartMates community have opportunities to enjoy benefits such as:

  • Virtual team huddles with HeartMates ambassador Damar Hamlin
  • Connecting with other HeartMates to get support and share stories
  • Exclusive HeartMates gear
  • Inspirational content from their fellow HeartMates
  • Q&A opportunities with Abbott’s heart-health experts

Who can join the Abbott HeartMates team?

Everyone impacted by cardiovascular conditions, directly (e.g., you’ve been diagnosed with a heart condition) or indirectly (e.g., someone you care about has a heart condition), is welcome to join Abbott HeartMates.

While Abbott HeartMates is open to people in all countries, privacy laws limit some elements of the program to U.S. residents.

Do I need to have an Abbott medical device to join Abbott HeartMates?

No. Everyone impacted by cardiovascular conditions, regardless of their use of Abbott devices or technology, is welcome to join.
